KACEY'S "JUSTIFIED" MTV HOOKUP

Fresh off announcing her forthcoming album, star-crossed (Interscope/MCA Nashville), Kacey Musgraves is partnering with MTV and Paramount+ for a global takeover; she'll make her VMAs debut with a performance of "star-crossed"; the music video for "justified" is airing exclusively on MTV and CMT; and star-crossed: the film will stream exclusively on Paramount+, beginning 9/10.

The second single off star-crossed, "justified" premiered on MTV, MTV Live, MTVU, CMT, CMT Music and the ViacomCBS Times Square billboard. Check out the video below.

As previously announced, the global premiere of star-crossed: the film, starring Musgraves, will debut exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S., Latin America, Australia, the Nordics and Canada, beginning 9/10. Fans outside those markets can watch it on MTV via its worldwide network of channels, which spans nearly 180 territories. An MTV Entertainment Studios property, star-crossed: the film was directed by Bardia Zeinali and produced by Interscope Films and MCA Nashville in association with Anonymous Content and Sandbox Entertainment.

“Kacey Musgraves is an unstoppable entertainer, and we are thrilled to have her partner with MTV Entertainment Group,” said Bruce Gillmer, Chief Content Officer, Music, Paramount+, and President of Music, Music Talent, Programming & Events, ViacomCBS. “From what will be an unforgettable first-time VMAs performance to orchestrating the cross-brand premiere of the new single tied to her highly anticipated star-crossed album and film, we’re excited to be part of her next chapter.”

In honor of Musgraves' addition to the VMAs, Gillmer has added an electric cowboy hat to his VMAs outfit.
