SPOTIFY SPOTLIGHTS STEIN'S NEW ROLE

Spotify has upped John Stein to head of North America, Editorial. He'll continue to report directly to Global Head of Editorial Sulinna Ong along with Head of Global Editorial Manuela Wurm, Creative Director & Head of Urban Music, Editorial Carl Chery and Head of Global Hits JJ Italiano. In addition to Stein's current team, Head of Nashville, Editorial Rachel Whitney, Head of U.S, Latin, Editorial Antonio Vasquez and Head of Dance & Electronic Development, Editorial Ronny Ho will now report to him as well.

Stein has been with the company for nine years. As Spotify's team lead, North America, he helped develop Pollen, the streaming giant's first genre-free playlist, in 2018. Prior to that, he was Spotify's senior editor, Music. Stein began his career in 2012 as a music manager at WFUV in New York City.
