Ted's radio preview

RADIO PREVIEW: In a Pop race that's too close to call, Selena Gomez's hard-charging "Come & Get It" (Hollywood) has 195 spins (per Mediabase) to pick up by Saturday midnight to overtake Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Can't Hold Us" (Macklemore) and become the #1 song in the land. "Get Lucky" by Columbia's Daft Punk, meanwhile, continues its march toward #1; it will move 5-3. Jason Derulo's "The Other Side" (Warner Bros.) will enter the top 10, while Capital Cities' "Safe And Sound" (Capitol) will go Top 20. And two hot songs from RCAMiley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop" and Britney Spears' "Ooh La La"—should both quickly make their way into the Top 25. In the Post Modern world, The Neighbourhood’s "Sweater Weather" (Columbia) should hold on and stay #1 for a very impressive sixth week (kudos to the label's Mike DePippa), but it wouldn’t be a surprise if Capital Cities wrestled the top spot from them, as they are only 24 spins behind (though they only have until Midnight Saturday to catch up). Daft Punk surges into the top 10 as do labelmates Nine Inch Nails. The big spin movers this week are Grouplove, Lava/Republic's Lorde and Tame Impala’s “Elephant" (Modular). Foals latest single "My Number" (Warner Bros.) should debut, and The Lumineers' latest, "Submarines" (Dualtone), is just bubbling outside the top 40. (6/28p)
