Sony Music Publishing has some fancy new digs in L.A., with its recently developed office space and creative hub for songwriters. Located in Hollywood's media district, the flagship location lives in a century-old building that was updated in close collaboration with studio architects WSDG and design collective RIOS.
The space boasts five dedicated writer studios, six listening rooms, a state-of-the-art recording studio with two independent recording booths and an artist lounge. Each creative suite maximizes acoustic performance and is stocked with cutting-edge systems and production gear.
The landmark expansion is part of SMP's ongoing global efforts to lend support to its songwriters. Recent developments and enhancements have already been completed in the U.K., Germany, The Netherlands, Canada, Nashville, Spain, Colombia, Sweden, South Africa and India.
"Our focus has been on creating environments that nurture the talent, vision and goals of our songwriters and people," SMP Chairman/CEO Jon Platt said. "Our aim was to build a space that supports songwriters every step of the way, welcomes creators and supports their needs. I am exceptionally proud of what we have built as a team.”
The same cannot be said about us.
