NICK LEE, INDUSTRY BABY
8/6/21

Producer/songwriter Nick Lee jumped into the limelight recently as contributor (in tandem with Take a Daytrip) to Lil Nas X’s latest rocket, “Industry Baby” (Columbia).

The L.A.-bred creator, who trained in jazz trombone at Juilliard and performed with the likes of Wynton Marsalis and Christian McBride. Inked to Atlas Music Publishing by Paige Parsons and managed by Max Cho of Cho & Co., Lee has co-penned a diverse array of works including Audrey Mika’s Excuses (RCA), Gunnar Gehl’s “Good Enough” (Big Machine), Dillon Francis’ “You Do You” and “Touch” (Mad Decent) and Rachel Platten’s “Soldiers,” which got a new look via CBS network promos, and more. He’s also been composing for TV over the past year, with music featured on (among other projects) NBC Universal’s Grand Crew and Lionsgate/Fox’s mockumentary series Welcome to Flatch.

Does Nick still have a hankering to wail on his axe to some Art Blakey sides? You’ll have to ask him.
