PULSE IS WIDE-EYED FOR TOBI LOU
9/18/19

Pulse Music Group has signed rapper, songwriter and producer tobi lou to a worldwide publishing deal via its joint venture with Beka Tischker's Wide Eyed Entertainment. Announced by Pulse Co-CEOs Josh Abraham and Scott Cutler, along with Tischker, the addition of lou brings one of music's most promising young talents to Pulse/Wide Eyed.

Formed in 2018, Pulse's partnerships with Wide Eyed brings together Tischker's (formerly of Prescription Songs) new management and publishing company with Pulse's roster of songwriters and producers.

Cutler says “Pulse is about finding and cultivating great talent, and in that respect our partnership with Wide Eyed Entertainment continues to pay off. We’re thrilled to have worked with Beka to put together this deal with tobi, who is a tremendous artist that we are lucky to have on our team.”

Wide Eyes boss Tischker added, "tobi is an amazing artist who’s accomplished a lot with little formal support in a very short amount of time. It’s going to be exciting to see his career jump to the next level with the support of Josh, Scott and Pulse’s global network.”

Derrick “Lottery” Hardy, manager of tobi lou commented: “This was an easy decision to make. From Day 1 Sarah [McCann] displayed to both me and tobi, that she was a true fan of tobi lou. No other A&R matched her passion for the music that he creates. We wanted to be in business with Sarah and then to have the opportunity to combine forces with the team at Wide Eyed Entertainment/Pulse Music Group -- it was just a no-brainer.”

Having issued their quotes, everyone gathered for a hearty repast of avocado toast and Kombucha.

tobi lou is a Nigeria-born and Chicago-raised rapper, songwriter and producer. After moving to Los Angeles, lou wrote and produced songs for other artists while moonlighting as an Uber driver before starting to release solo material. Lou has released three critically acclaimed EPs and will be touring across the U.S. this fall in support of his recently released mixtape, Live on Ice, while working on his debut album.
