Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) has signed a global publishing agreement with Capitol’s Maggie Rogers, a Grammy-nominated producer and singer-songwriter. Rogers initially attracted industry attention with her 2017 EP, Now That The Light Is Fading, which peaked at #4 on the Heatseekers Albums chart. Global success would follow with the 2019 release of her debut album, Heard It In A Past Life. It ultimately earned Rogers a Best New Artist nomination. Rogers’ sophomore album, Surrender, arrived last year and she appeared on Zach Bryan’s “Dawn” in January.
“Maggie is one of my favorite songwriters, and I have been lucky to work alongside her since the early stages of her incredible career,” UMPG’s EVP and Co-Head of A&R Jennifer Knoepfle said. We are so excited for her next chapter in her new home at UMPG, and she will have the best support for her creative journey.”
Rogers just wrapped up her headlining Feral Joy Tour and will embark on the Summer of ’23 Tour in July. The 12-city run includes stops at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado and the Hollywood Bowl. It concludes on 9/29 in Washington, D.C. Find the itinerary here. On a side note, “feral joy” is the opposite of what we feel coming to work every day.
