OSCARS GET A "LIFT"
FROM RIHANNA

Rihanna will perform "Lift Me Up" from the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack at the 95th Academy Awards on 3/12. The track, released by Westbury Road/Roc Nation/ Def Jam/Hollywood Records in October and co-written by Tems, Rihanna, Ludwig Göransson and Ryan Coogler, is nominated in the Best Original Song category. It marks the superstar's first Oscar nod.

The announcement follows Rihanna's appearance at Super Bowl LVII, where she headlined the inaugural Apple Music Halftime Show with a career-spanning set. The performance, which also featured Riri's big pregnancy reveal, supercharged her streaming numbers.

The Monday after the Super Bowl, Rihanna was the most-streamed artist on the platform, rising to #1 on Spotify's U.S. and global Daily Top Artists charts. She also landed 18 songs in the U.S. Top 50, led by "Umbrella" at #5 with 1.2m streams, while simultaneously enjoying the biggest day of her career at Apple Music.

The Oscars will be held at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood and air live on ABC. Watch "Lift Me Up" below. We, meanwhile, will continue working on the remaining Super Bowl party snacks.
