OSCARS: MUSIC WINS AND MORE

Billie Eilish and FINNEAS took Best Song at the Oscars thanks to their theme for the James Bond flick No Time to Die (see their performance below), while Questlove won the Documentary trophy (and a standing O) for his feature Summer of Soul. Hans Zimmer earned a trophy for his Dune score.

You've probably heard all about the set-to between Best Actor winner (for King Richard) Will Smith and presenter Chris Rock, but there is other Oscars news. Jessica Chastain won her first Oscar, for Best Actress for the title role in The Eyes of Tammy Faye. Jane Campion took the Director trophy for Power of the Dog. Kenneth Branagh was at last anointed, for his Belfast screenplay. Troy Kotsur earned a historic Supporting Actor win for his work in CODA. Ariana DeBose took the Supporting Actress statuette for her performance in West Side Story. Lady Gaga joined Liza Minnelli to present the Best Picture trophy to CODA, which also won for Adapted Screenplay.

Eilish’s “No Time to Die” and two of the other songs performed on the Oscar telecast are in the Top 10 at iTunes—the Diane Warren-penned “Somehow You Do” by Reba McEntire and Encanto’s big hit, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno,” which cast members performed with Megan Thee Stallion.

You'll find the complete list of winners here.
