British exec Roberto Neri will head up Believe’s newly launched global publishing division as CEO. He joins after less than two years at Utopia Music.
Revealed last week, Believe has entered the publishing market with the acquisition of U.K-.based Sentric. The move is the first step in building a global publishing division.
Neri joins from fast-growing start-up Utopia, which he joined as COO in 2021 and was later elevated to CEO. He was previously EVP and head of European Business Development at Downtown and has held roles at the Music Publishers Association and PRS for Music, among others.
Announcing the news on LinkedIn, Neri said that alongside Sentric CEO Chris Meehan and team, “we will develop a comprehensive solution for songwriters and publishers at all levels. Combined with Believe’s digital music expertise, technology and global presence, we will build a service for songwriters and publishers, in a way that is both innovative and complementary with Believe’s core recorded music offering.”
