Cat Thomas, the 20+ year veteran PD of Las Vegas powerhouse KLUC, has been promoted to VP of Programming for CBS RADIO Las Vegas by SVP and market manager Jerry McKenna.
His duties will include oversight of KLUC as well as Mix 94.1 (KMXB-FM), X107.5 (KXTE-FM), NewsRadio 100.5 FM and 840 AM (KXNT-FM/AM) and CBS Sports Radio 1140 AM (KXST-AM).
Thomas succeeds Charese Fruge who was appointed VP of Programming and OM of CBS's Houston cluster.
With Cat's elevation to VP, KLUC's APD J.B. King will be promoted to Program Director and Mix 94.1's APD/MD J. Love receives his PD stripes too.
"This is a dream come true," said Thomas, "I have loved this group since we put these stations together in 1996. None of this would be possible without the passion of our staffs. As the great Woody Hayes said, ‘You Win With People!’ and we have great people from top to bottom.”
"Cat Thomas is a veteran programming executive whose experience in this market is unmatched,” said McKenna, "our stations are in very capable hands."
