TOP 50: 10 TORTURED WEEKS FOR TAY

Republic’s Taylor Swift logs a 10th consecutive week at #1 on the HITS Top 50 with THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT.

Swift’s blockbuster has enjoyed the longest unbroken run atop the chart since that of Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time (Big Loud/Mercury/ Republic), which held court for 12 straight weeks in 2023. The two albums rank #1 and #2 in YTD consumption, with TTPD north of 4.5m units and One Thing at 1.7m. House Lipman is happy.

Interscope’s Gracie Abrams scores the week’s top bow, with The Secret of Us at #2. Abrams’ sophomore set affords the Eras Tour veteran the biggest debut of her career; she chalks up 87k. Abrams opened at #1 in the U.K.

Música Mexicana sensation Peso Pluma lands a #5 bow; his Double P double album, ÉXODO, posted 65k and has earned the most streams for a Latin debut this year.

Island breakout Chappell Roan hits another peak with The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess (Amusement), climbing to #6 with 62k. We just learned the “Hot to Go” dance and have been asked politely to refrain from ever doing it again.

Streeting this week are new titles by Geffen’s Camila Cabello, WMG’s Megan Thee Stallion, Warner’s Omar Apollo, KIDinaKORNER/Interscope’s Imagine Dragons, Lava/Republic's The Warning and RCA’s Lucky Daye.

Now, if you’ll excuse us, we have to take the dog to his pre-July 4 therapy session. View the full chart here.
