BLACKPINK's Lisa, a bona fide K-pop superstar, has released "Rockstar," her debut solo single on LLOUD/RCA.
The video is blowing up on YouTube, where it became the most-viewed K-pop song of 2024 in less than 12 hours. By midday 6/28, "Rockstar" had crossed 28m views. Filmed on the streets of Bangkok, the clip finds our heroine taking over the city in a nod to her Thai heritage and demonstrating the showstopping choreography she's known for.
"Rockstar" was co-produced by hitmakers Ryan Tedder and Sam Homaee (Selena Gomez, D4VD, Shakira).
In case you're completely clueless as to how popular Lisa is, she has the most Instagram followers of any K-pop artist (103m) and set a record with the launch of her TikTok account, earning 1m followers in just over two hours. Her previous solo single, "Money," has 1b+ streams on Spotify.
Meanwhile, Lisa will make her acting debut in season three of HBO's The White Lotus.
