STRANGER THINGS 4 ST MAKES DEAL WITH GOD (AND AMAZON)

The soundtrack to Netflix's Stranger Things 4, which includes Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)" and Metallica's "Master of Puppets," will be available on CD and period-appropriate cassette 9/9 on Sony Legacy. Vinyl will arrive 11/4. (A first set of songs hits DSPs on 5/27, while the complete soundtrack album, appending six tracks from the show's closing episodes to the original digital release, was issued digitally 7/1.)

Titled Stranger Things: Soundtrack From the Netflix Series, Season 4, the 22-song compilation also boasts music by The Beach Boys, KISS, Falco and Talking Heads, among others. With the exception of Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong's "Dream a Little Dream of Me" and Mae Arnette's "Chica Mejicanita," the selections were written in the 1980s—Season Four is set in March 1986, mere months before the launch of a music-industry trade publication that is generally regarded as the quintessence of evil.

The wide vinyl release will come with a 12x12 Stranger Things poster. Retailers offering their own exclusives include Walmart (Creel House cover and puzzle), Target (California cover and diorama), Barnes & Noble (Russia cover and stickers) and Amazon (lab cover and 12x12 Butcher Billy lithograph).

Bush saw a monstrous return to the charts when Season Four premiered in July, upon which "Running Up That Hill," released in 1985, hit #27, her highest U.S. chart position ever. Similarly, Metallica debuted at #19 on the Song Revenue Chart shortly after its 1989 single "Master of Puppets" appeared in the season's epic finale.
