GOOD MORNING, VIETNAM

Gathering to announce a new label are (l-r) Universal Music South East Asia CEO Calvin Wong, UMV GM Lan Khanh Phung, Daisy, monoX CEO Kendall Nguyen, Wren Evans, monoX Artist Manager Amy Tran, Evy and METUB CEO Phuong Ha and COO Hung Tran.

Universal Music Vietnam has launched a new label, monoX, with Vietnamese MCN (multi-channel network) and mass-media company METUB.

The company's first signing is Wren Evans, whose debut single, “Thich Em Hoi Nhieu” ("I Like You A Lot") has garnered more than 10m streams within 10 days of its release. monoX has also signed Evy and Daisy, who will release music this week and performed at the press conference announcing the new label.

Said monoX CEO Kendall Nguyen, “This showcase is a significant event for me. In less than two weeks, our artists have put together a show that not only entertains but also makes a statement about who we are as a record label. We hope to attract artists and fans with a similar vibe, locate our tribe and create music that transcends borders.”

UMV GM Lan Khanh Phung said, “We are able to provide a one-stop shop for artists. More than just connecting people through music, we can connect them through creativity, emotion and dreams—from passion to profession. We want to bridge those two worlds, and the launch of monoX as a stand-alone label will provide Vietnamese artists new opportunities to find success and build audiences, both at home and globally.”
