ROD ANNOUNCES HIS NEXT WAVE, SOULFLY

Streaming giant Rod Wave has reemerged ahead of his sophomore album, SoulFly, due 3/26 via Alamo/Geffen/Interscope. The first taste of the hip-hop star's next chapter, "Street Runner," is currently #4 on Apple Music. Video below.

Wave's previous effort, Pray 4 Love, debuted at #2 on the HITS Top 50 in April 2020 with 72k. It reached a new peak with the 8/7 release of a deluxe package featuring 11 additional tracks, climbing to 75k units that week. Pray 4 Love crossed 1 billion streams in 2020, led by standout track "Rags2Riches," which hit #1 on Urban radio in January of this year.

The rising rapper-crooner ranked as the #4 U.S. artist on YouTube last year and was the most decorated newcomer in the RIAA's class of 2020, picking up 10 certifications.

Wave has amassed more than 5b career streams. Expect a strong bow for SoulFly.
