U.K. CHARTS: SLOWTHAI SECURES #1 ALBUM

Tyron (Method) by British rapper Slowthai hits #1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart while Olivia Rodrigo holds onto the top spot at singles despite fierce competition from Lil Tjay and 6LACK.

Tyron was a clear winner on the album chart this week, selling more than double the number shifted by its closest competitor, Foo Fighters' Medicine at Midnight (Columbia), which was #1 last week.

The second album from Manchester band Pale Waves, Who Am I? (Dirty Hit), is new at #3, followed by Dua Lipa’s Moonlight Edition of Future Nostalgia (Warner Records) at #4.

The Pretty RecklessDeath by Rock and Roll (Century Media) enters at #6 as the David Bowie live album Look at the Moon (Parlophone) debuts at #16.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart, Rodrigo’s “drivers license” (Polydor) remains #1 for a sixth consecutive week. The track sits just 1,700 in sales ahead of “Calling My Phone” (Columbia) by Lil Tjay and 6LACK, which settles for second place today despite claiming the title of most-streamed release of the week, with 7.2m plays.

“Friday” (Ministry of Sound) by Riton & Nightcrawlers f/Mufasa & Hypeman climbs six places to #10. Taylor Swift’s “Love Story (Taylor’s Version)” (EMI) arrives on the chart at #12.

ATB’s “Your Love (9pm)” (EMI), with Topic and A7S, rises two places to #21, West London rapper Central Cee’s “Commitment Issues” (ADA) lands at #23 and Lipa’s “We’re Good” (Warner Records) is new at #25.
