British rapper Slowthai is heading for his first U.K. #1 with his second album, Tyron (Method). As for the U.K. Official Singles midweek update, “Calling My Phone” (Columbia) by Lil Tjay and 6LACK takes an early lead.
The U.K.’s Official Albums midweek chart finds Tyron sitting 4,000 in sales ahead of the second album from Manchester band Pale Waves, Who Am I? (Dirty Hit), which is at #2.
The Pretty Reckless’ Death by Rock and Roll (Century Media) is new at #4 midweek, followed by David Bowie’s live album Look at the Moon (Parlophone), at #5.
Succeeding the release of its Moonlight Edition, Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia (Warner Records) rises five places to #6. Just outside the Top 10, at #11, is Taylor Swift’s evermore (EMI), which scales the chart after the release of “Love Story (Taylor’s Version).”
On the singles chart, should it hold its position until Friday, Lil Tjay and 6LACK's “Calling My Phone” will end the five-week reign of Olivia Rodrigo’s “drivers license” (Polydor).
Swift’s “Love Story (Taylor’s Version)” is new at #4 at singles midweek, while “Friday” (Ministry of Sound) by Riton & Nightcrawlers f/Mufasa & Hypeman is up another eight places to #8. Finally, Lipa’s new single, “We’re Good,” starts in at #20.
