UME HONORS NEIL DIAMOND'S
50 YEARS OF HITS WITH BOX SET
1/24/17

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Neil Diamond’s first hit, "Solitary Man," Universal Music Enterprises will release a career-spanning box set of 50 tracks on 3/31.

Diamond helped pick the track list and oversaw the creation of the collection, Rolling Stone reports, and will support the release with a 50th Anniversary Tour that starts 4/7 in Fresno and wraps at The Forum 8/10 and 12.

The song list for the box set has not yet been disclosed.

Diamond’s recording career has seen him bounce around multiple labels—Bang, Uni, MCA, Columbia and most recently Capitol. He rejoined the Universal Music family in 2014, bringing with him his catalog and music publishing.

For the tour, Diamond told Rolling Stone, "I want to create a list of songs that I haven't done before. 'If You Go Away' is as definite candidate. 'Suzanne' is a definite candidate. I have a list, but I want to keep some of them surprises.”
