AT 66, SPRINGSTEEN PLAYS HIS LONGEST SHOW EVER IN THE U.S.
8/25/16

The idea that Bruce Springsteen used to play four-hour shows is an urban myth. Yes, they can be long—three hours is commonplace—but he’s only topped four hours once, and that was in Europe.

The longest on U.S. soil in Springsteen’s career occurred Tuesday night in his home state of New Jersey when Springsteen and the E Street Band performed for 3 hours, 52 minutes and 1 second at Met Life Stadium, according to the Springsteen experts at Backstreets.com.

The 35 song set included his song about the razed Giants Stadium, “Wrecking Ball,” plus “Santa Claus is Comin' to Town,” “Bobby Jean” and Tom Waits’ “Jersey Girl.” Springsteen performs again at the stadium tonight (8/24).
