ICYMI: ANYMA AT THE SPHERE
1/17/25

Afterlife/Interscope’s Anyma wrapped up his groundbreaking eight-show residency at the Sphere on Saturday night (1/11), solidifying his status as the first electronic artist to headline the cutting-edge Las Vegas venue. Over 130,000 fans filled the sold-out run, experiencing Afterlife Presents Anyma: The End of Genesys, an awe-inspiring blend of futuristic visuals and genre-defining electronic soundscapes.

Described by Anyma as a “cybernetic opera,” the performance unfolded in four acts—Genesys, Humana, The End of Genesys, and Quantum—exploring the intricate relationship between humanity and artificial intelligence. Sphere’s 360-degree visuals transported the audience to surreal, otherworldly landscapes, from cyborgs shattering walls of glass to fiery cityscapes, lush gardens and a barren desert.

Positioned at the center of it all, Anyma performed from a glowing, high-tech structure surrounded by robotic cellists and illuminated cables, delivering fan favorites like “Hear Me Now” and “Walking With a Ghost.” The set also featured tracks from Genesys II, including “Pictures of You,” his remix of Fred again.. and Swedish House Mafia’s “Turn on the Lights again…,” and his recent collaboration with Ellie Goulding, “Hypnotized.”

Born Matteo Milleri, Anyma is one-half of the acclaimed duo Tale of Us, who have built a reputation for their innovative approach to electronic music, pairing atmospheric, emotionally charged soundscapes with a distinctive visual aesthetic. Through their Afterlife label and its forward-thinking event series, Milleri and creative partner Carmine Conte have consistently expanded the boundaries of the genre. That vision reached new heights at Sphere, where Anyma’s sci-fi-inspired storytelling paired seamlessly with the venue’s state-of-the-art technology.

Anyma’s residency redefined electronic music’s live potential, pairing cutting-edge production with Sphere’s unrivaled capabilities, setting a bold new precedent for the genre.
