Mustard has partnered with BMG for the release his next album, Faith of a Mustard Seed, on 7/26. The global recordings agreement follows the success of Kendrick Lamar's chart-topping hit, "Not Like Us," which Mustard produced.
The track broke a Spotify record for the biggest single-day streams of a rap song. It also claimed the most song streams in a week by a rapper and is the fastest rap song to surpass 100 and 200m streams on the platform.
Mustard has worked with a bevy of notable artists throughout his career, including Rihanna, Lil Wayne, The Weeknd, Snoop Dogg and the late Nipsey Hussle.
“Mustard’s approach, coupled with a proven track record of chart-topping hits, delivers unparalleled musical experiences to audiences worldwide," BMG EVP, Record Music, West Coast Dan Gill said. "We look forward to supporting and working alongside him as we continue to elevate his artistry and the impact of his music."
Mustard joins artists like YG, Logic and Wiz Khalifa on the BMG roster. Pictured cringing at the thought of all of our inevitable Mustard puns are (l-r) 10 Summers Co-Founder Meko Yohannes, BMG’s Diallobe Johnson and Gill, Mustard and BMG’s Tim Reid.
