WHAT IT IS: While 20-year-old Kaash Paige made a name for herself with the TikTok-assisted viral explosion of “Love Songs” from her debut EP, Parked Car Convos, the rising star first burst onto the scene as a sophomore in high school, posting tracks to SoundCloud. Establishing her brand of woozy, ethereal alt-R&B, Kaash—which stands for “Kill All Arrogance Stop Hatred”—picked up co-signs from fans like Kylie Jenner and Alicia Keys and has since collaborated with 6lack, Don Tolliver and Travis Scott.
