WHAT IT IS: Before launching her career as a country artist, Iowa-born, Nashville-based singer/songwriter Hailey Whitters spent more than a decade in pursuit of her dreams. After penning songs for Little Big Town, Alan Jackson and Martina McBride, Whitters released “Ten Year Town”—a track she refers to as a time capsule of her years in Nashville and coming to terms with dreams and what they mean. Included on her debut self-released album, The Dream—which she co-produced with Jake Gear—along with four other songs from her indie 2019 EP The Days, the single has solidified her place in the country scene.
