ARMIN VAN BUUREN'S A BALANCING ACT
1/28/20

Armada’s Armin van Buuren is preparing for a busy 2020. The trance legend recently released his seventh studio album Balance last October, featuring Grammy-winning artist NE-YO on “Unlove You” and 27 more tracks on the 2-disc compilation.

In support of his album, Buuren hits the road for his first-ever U.S. bus tour. The 13-city trek kicked off on 1/22 in Boston, MA and makes stops in Brooklyn, Atlanta, Houston, Phoenix, L.A. and more before wrapping up in San Francisco on 2/8. Buuren’s schedule also includes a slew of European dates as well as appearances at Creamfields and other festivals.

Buuren says, “I’m excited. I haven’t really toured the smaller clubs in the U.S. for a long time and we always dreamed of doing a bus tour because we can bring our own production on the road. Everything is very cinematic.”

In addition, the Dutch artist—who recently celebrated the 900th episode of his weekly radio show “A State of Trance”—was named a Global Oceans Ambassador for the World Wildlife Fund, joining other ambassadors like Jared Leto and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Hoping to empower his fans to join the #BeatPlastic campaign, Buuren adds, “Plastic is a very global problem, but it’s very much hands on. People understand the problem, they see the problem and it’s fairly easy to fix. It’s just about raising awareness and doing your part to reduce plastic waste.”
