Capitol's new alt/pop duo, Surfaces, just wrapped up their Endless Summer Tour in L.A. with a show at L.A.'s The Roxy this past weekend (7/19). At the gig, it was clear that Forrest Frank's vocals and production are elevated by Colin Padalecki's writing and arrangement. And everything really came together swimmingly with a little help from touring member Michael Incavo. The crowd was completely enthralled and reacted with the noteworthy enthusiasm.
The Texas-based act started the tour in May, setting their sights on major cities that have included Austin, Dallas, New York and Philadelphia.
After exchanging voice memos while San Antonio-native Padalecki studied at Texas A&M and the Houston-born Frank was 90 miles away at Baylorin Waco, the pair decided to continue their collaboration. They released their first full-length album, Surf, back in 2017. Their first single, “24 / 7 / 365,” went on to become their most successful; the track has garnered 11m+ streams on Spotify alone.
Sophomore album Where the Light Is was released this year January, and it's a feel-good summer album—similar to its predecessor.
Check out Surfaces' most recent single, “Take Some Time,” which dropped on 7/19, below.
