WHAT IT IS: A natural-born musician, the fresh and exciting Christian Paul is an emerging singer/songwriter with a soulfulness that belies his age. Inspired by the sounds of Sam Cooke and Curtis Mayfield, he’s always had a soulful, artistic spark inside of him. At four years old, he was gifted his first drum set and has since taught himself piano and guitar. Now 19, Paul—whose musical influences also span Maxwell, D’Angelo and Prince—will be releasing his first official single, “Strong”, as well as a six-song, self-titled EP.
