Tenille Townes (Columbia Nashville)
10/10/18

WHAT IT IS: With the lyrical fortitude of Patty Griffin and the soulful nature of Chris Stapleton or Adele, this emerging singer/songwriter is paving her path as one of Nashville’s most promising new artists. Canadian-born and Nashville-based, Townes made her first public appearance at age nine, alongside Shania Twain, after being invited to sing on stage at a concert she attended with her parents. Currently, she’s in the process of recording her debut full-length with award-winning producer Jay Joyce. Townes also remains committed to charitable causes, including her own Big Hearts For Big Kids, which has raised over $1.5m to date benefiting a youth shelter in her hometown of Grande Prairie, Alberta.
