James Hersey (Glassnote)
11/13/16

WHAT IT IS: Many listeners may already be familiar with James Hersey’s voice and lyrics, thanks to his original track, “Coming Over”—the summer-tinged ode to delayed desires that was initially remixed by Filous (28m Spotify streams) with other iterations from Kygo & Dillon Francis (77m Spotify streams). His first global, solo single, “Miss You” was released 8/19 and has already amassed more than 24m total Spotify streams. Born and raised in Vienna, Hersey’s childhood was filled with music. Guitar lessons were augmented by impromptu family music concerts. The house also reverberated to the sounds of Bob Marley, Grateful Dead and, in the mid-nineties, hip-hop. Now, he’s a singer, songwriter and musician who has a hand in every part of his craft.
