Pulse Music Group and Unrestricted have partnered with Arketek to ink a pub deal with artist, songwriter and producer 8ae, who’s worked with Mike Will Made It, Internet Money, Darkchild, Sethinthekitchen and other hot creators. The deal includes NEZ’s “To the Money,” on which 8ae appears with Flo Milli. Seen eyeing the streets of Silver Lake for marauding bands of realtors are Pulse Co-CEO Josh Abraham, SVP/Head of Creative Ashley Calhoun, Arketek Co-Founder/CEO Edith Bo, 8ae and Arketek Co-Founder/Head of A&R Stan Greene.

“8ae has everything we look for in a young artist - originality, fearlessness, work ethic, and incredible talent. We believe that with the support of a publisher who understands her creative vision, the sky's the limit for her. We’re very excited to welcome her to PULSE and to work with Ben Maddahi, Arjun Grover, Edith Bo and Stan Greene to make this deal happen,” reads a quote attributed to Abraham, Calhoun and Co-CEO Scott Cutler.

“8ae is a once in a generation bilingual songwriter, producer, and artist that is talented both lyrically and melodically and can write across every genre. We are extremely discerning with whom we partner with at Unrestricted, and we are honored to represent someone as talented and versatile as 8ae,” said Arjun Grover, VP A&R, Unrestricted.

“8ae's musical journey is nothing short of inspirational,” reads testimony from Bo and Greene. “We met her right before the quarantine hit in 2020 and we signed her in May when barely anyone was working on music in person, let alone with new songwriters. It was a discouraging time right after she signed with us, because everyone was isolating themselves to stay safe. A lot of the magic happens from in person sessions so we had to figure out a way around that to stay efficient. Since 8ae prefers to record herself on her laptop (she likes to bring her own mic and interface to writing sessions) while also being able to mix, vocal produce, and produce, we utilized those sets of skills so things wouldn't get stagnant. We hit up different producers for tracks and embraced collaborating from a distance. Her work ethic, dedication to always wanting to be better, and the ability to create something from start to finish helped us to generate a buzz about her that led us here.”
