Primary Wave has inked a publishing partnership with Aerosmith bassist and sometime songwriter Tom Hamilton, whose contributions to the iconic rock band include co-writes on "Sweet Emotion" and "Janie's Got a Gun." Hamilton's been part of the band since its formation in 1971... when he was 14 years old. 150m album sales, 18 platinum records, four Grammys and 21 Top 40 hits later, Hamilton at last gets to meet Larry Mestel.
Hamilton has writing credits on 14 other Aerosmith tunes, including "Sick as a Dog" from early classic set Rocks.
Pubco CMO Adam Lowenberg counted himself "thrilled," while Hamilton's manager/attorney, Jeremy Rosen, declared: It seems like just yesterday when Larry Mestel shared his vision for Primary Wave; a marketing company in publisher's clothing. 12 years later, I am honored to facilitate a partnership with the legendary Tom Hamilton of Aerosmith, whose songs have helped shape the soundtrack of our lives for nearly 50 years." Rumors that Jeremy will be commissioning the billable hours for his attorney services that are charged back to Tom couldn't be confirmed at presstime.
