Steve and Connie Ballmer, co-founders of Ballmer Group Philanthropy, will match the donations made during the live broadcast of the FireAid concert, taking place Thursday (1/30) at the Intuit Dome and Kia Forum in L.A. Viewers can go to fireaid.org to contribute to wildfire recovery and prevention throughout the shows.
"We’ve dedicated an initial $15 million in emergency funding for the many people impacted by these fires, particularly in the historic, racially diverse community of Altadena," a statement on the Ballmer Group website reads. "We are also honored to host FireAid at the Intuit Dome in partnership with the Azoff family, Live Nation and AEG Presents."
The twin concerts boast Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Katy Perry, Stevie Wonder, Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, No Doubt, Joni Mitchell and Earth, Wind & Fire, among other household names. The Forum show starts at 6pm PT; the Intuit Dome gig kicks off at 7:30pm PT.
Both will be broadcast and streamed live on a plethora of platforms, including Apple Music, AppleTV, Disney+/Hulu, iHeartRadio, Facebook, Instagram, Netflix, Paramount+, Peacock/NBC News Now, Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch.
