It’s particularly apt that TDE/Capitol’s rap disruptor, Doechii, graces the cover of our New & Developing Artists special. The Grammy Best New Artist contender—who is also vying for several Rap trophies—has truly blossomed over the last year or so. Look no further than her acclaimed set Alligator Bites Never Heal (which earned a Rap Album nom) and cuts like the funny, feisty “Denial Is a River,” which is currently Top 30 at Spotify U.S., not to mention her heralded Camp Flog Gnaw and Tiny Desk Concert performances, among others. For all the heightened attention, Doechii is probably in “Denial” about this HITS cover appearance.
