CHALAMET CHANNELS DYLAN FOR SNL

A Complete Unknown actor Timothée Chalamet hosted Saturday Night Live on 1/25, performing three of his "favorite" Bob Dylan songs as the episode's musical guest. Chalamet, who played Dylan in the James Mangold-directed, Academy Award-nominated film, ran through a medley of "Outlaw Blues" and "Three Angels," two lesser known tracks unearthed from Dylan's deep catalog.

Chalamet prefaced his choice during his opening monologue in which he said, "You might not know the Bob Dylan songs I’m performing, but they’re my personal favorites. I’m so grateful Saturday Night Live is still doing weird stuff like this 50 years in. They’re either really nice for letting me do this or incredibly mean and this is all a big prank.”

Chalamet was joined by James Blake on keyboards for the musical numbers, including the show's closer, an acoustic version of "Tomorrow Is a Long Time," a song Dylan first sang live and demo-ed in 1962 but didn’t release until the '70s. Sadly, we're old enough to remember that. Watch both performances below while we contemplate our life choices.
