The Neil Lasher Fund will hold its annual Grammy week Breakfast With the Founders event at the Peninsula Hotel on 1/31, continuing its efforts to aid musicians in need of addiction help via Caron Treatment Centers.
This year, the fund will dedicate the proceeds of the breakfast to helping members of the Los Angeles music community affected by the wildfires who are dealing with alcohol and drug issues. You can help the effort by donating at this site and notating L.A. Wildfire Relief.
The breakfast will feature performances by Neil Lasher Music Fund grant recipient Jesse Money and rising singer-songwriter 44phantom.
Founder Jill Jordon says “Our hearts go out to Los Angeles as we continue to monitor the wildfires. We want the music community to know that The Neil Lasher Music Fund is available and there for them when they need us for drug and alcohol addiction treatment.”
In addition to its efforts within the L.A. music community, The fund is also supporting the Black Music Action Coalition’s (BMAC) L.A. Fires Relief Fund and MusiCares’ Los Angeles Fire Relief Program. It's also currently providing counseling and therapy service grants in L.A. and remotely for those in the industry and their families affected by the fires.
Board Member and BMAC founder Willie “Prophet” Stiggers said “BMAC is incredibly proud to be partners with The Neil Lasher Music Fund, standing shoulder to shoulder, helping so many who have been affected by the wildfires.”
