ASCAP PLEDGES $1M TO L.A. MEMBERS AFFECTED BY FIRES

ASCAP will disperse $1 million in emergency relief to ASCAP songwriter and composer members in the L.A. area who've experienced loss or damage to their primary residence or studio, or been evacuated from their homes as a result of the ongoing wildfires.

"Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by the devastating Los Angeles fires," ASCAP CEO Elizabeth Matthews said. "We are here to support our ASCAP members during troubled times, and we will ensure these funds reach ASCAP composers and songwriters in need."

ASCAP joins the plethora of organizations, including Netflix, Beyoncé's BeyGOOD Foundation, Guitar Center Foundation, MusiCares and the Recording Academy, that are stepping up to support the music community and L.A. at-large. ASCAP members can apply here.
