Wicked is still doing big business in worldwide movie theaters, but interested parties will be able to experience the film in the comfort of their own homes starting 12/31.
The Universal movie will be available New Year's Eve for purchase or rental on platforms such as Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, Fandango at Home and Comcast Xfinity. On 2/4, it will come out in physical 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD iterations.
Both the digital and physical releases will include a host of bonus content, including a singalong version, commentary from stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo and a 40-minute "making of" documentary.
Wicked has grossed $392m in the U.S. since its release last month. It's up for four Golden Globe awards, including Best Motion Picture—Musical or Comedy. Numerous songs from its Verve/Republic soundtrack are performing strongly at DSPs.
A sequel, Wicked: For Good, hits theaters 11/21/2025.
