TAYLOR, SHABOOZEY TOP RIAA YEAR-END LISTS

The RIAA has unveiled its year-end list of Top Performers and the Class of 2024, the latter first-time recipients of gold and platinum certs.

Not surprisingly, Taylor Swift was this year’s Top Performer with THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT (Republic), which earned 2024’s top certification at sextuple platinum. Darkroom/Interscope’s Billie Eilish scored the most certs with 10, including quadruple platinum for “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” and platinum for HIT ME HARD AND SOFT.

The 65-member freshman class was led by Shaboozey, who scored a quintuple-platinum cert for his American Dogwood/EMPIRE smash, “A Bar Song (Tipsy)," the year's top-certified single. Alamo’s BossMan Dlow notched one platinum plaque and four golds, and gamma.’s Sexyy Redd landed platinum singles for “SKEEYEE,” “POUND DOWN” with Tay Keith and “GET IT SEXYY” on REBEL MUSIC, plus a gold cert for her appearance on GloRilla’s “WHATCHU KNO BOUT ME."

Said Back Blocks/UMG Nashville's Tucker Wetmore, who went gold with his single "Wine Into Whiskey," "When I first wrote these songs, I didn't know it would be changing my life this much and I truly have the fans to thank—thank you so much for changing my life every single day."

Oli Fox of Capitol’s Good Neighbours, which earned a platinum cert for Home, added, "If you’d said this to us a year ago when the band didn’t even exist, we’d have probably laughed in your face, so it feels unreal.”
