THE WEEKND INAUGURATES SPOTIFY BILLIONS CLUB LIVE

The Weeknd is the most-decorated member of Spotify’s Billions Club, so it’s only fitting that the streamer has chosen him to inaugurate its Billions Club Live—with a special invite-only show 12/17 in Los Angeles.

Abel will perform a set list drawn from his 24 tracks that have reached 1 billion streams, going back to 2015's “Can’t Feel My Face,” promising a gig “unlike anything he’s done before.” Sounds like a good warm-up for the Rose Bowl extravaganza he has planned for 1/25, the day after the release of his Hurry Up Tomorrow.

The week got even better for the XO/Republic star when he was awarded three new RIAA certs, with his Starboy album garnering a sextuple-platinum plaque, that set's title track notching 15-times-platinum certification and “I Feel It Coming” hitting octuple platinum.

The Billions Club sounds great, but we’ve got a feeling Abel won’t be letting us get past the velvet rope at any of his clubs anytime soon.
