The Songwriters Hall of Fame and Grammy Museum recently co-hosted a panel in L.A. called “Chart-Toppers: Today’s Hitmaking Songwriter/Producers" featuring Blake Slatkin, Amy Allen, Daniel Nigro and Theron Thomas.
Nigro is nominated in multiple 67th Grammy Awards categories—including Producer of the Year—for his work with Chappell Roan (Island); Slatkin is known for his contributions to Charli xcx's Grammy-nominated BRAT (Atlantic), among many other works; Allen is recognized in the Grammy Songwriter of the Year category for a second time, in 2025's contest for her work with Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo and more; and Thomas, 2024 Grammy Songwriter of the Year, has too many credits to list here but suffice it to say that Lizzo, Beyoncé and USHER are among his collaborators.
Pictured wondering how we mustered the nerve to call this pub "HITS" are (l-r) the SHOF's Joel Flatow, Donna Caseine and Barbara Cane, songwriter-producers Slatkin, Thomas, Nigro and Allen, the SHOF's Mary Jo Mennella and the Grammy Museum Foundation's Rita George.
