U.K. MIDWEEKS: TAYLOR'S BACK ON TOP

Taylor Swift’s THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT (EMI) will return to #1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart. On the singles roundup, an updated version of Band Aid’s charity classic, “Do They Know It’s Christmas” (Mercury), is leading the race.

TTPD, which has logged eight nonconsecutive weeks at #1 this year, is surging again following the physical release of its ANTHOLOGY edition.

Juice WRLD’s latest posthumous album, The Party Never Ends (Interscope), is looking like this week’s highest new entry, at #4, while Michael Bublé’s Christmas (Reprise) is up 11 places to #6.

HIT ME HARD AND SOFT (ISOLATED VOCALS) (Interscope), an offshoot of Billie Eilish’s #1 third LP, is at #10 after receiving a physical release for Record Store Day Black Friday.

Another RSD Black Friday drop, Olivia Rodrigo’s former chart-topper, GUTS (Geffen), is predicted to bounce 15 places to #11.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweek chart, “Do They Know It’s Christmas,” released to mark Band Aid’s 40th anniversary, is on track for #1. The new version was produced by Trevor Horn and features vocalists from the 1984 original, 2004’s “Band Aid 20” and 2014’s “Band Aid 30.”

Gracie Abrams’ current #1, “That’s So True” (Interscope), is just 1k in chart units behind at #2, followed by “APT.” (Atlantic) by Bruno Mars and ROSÉ at #3.

Three more festive favorites are in today’s Top 10: “Last Christmas” (Epic) by WHAM! is at #5, “All I Want for Christmas Is You” (Columbia) by Mariah Carey is at #7 and Brenda Lee’s “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” (MCA) is at #9.

Wicked’s “Defying Gravity” (Republic), by Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, is up one to #6 following the film's wide theatrical release last week.
