Apple TV+ is adding an ace to its deck of music docs: the first fully authorized biography of Fleetwood Mac.
The Apple Original film will be directed by five-time Oscar nominee Frank Marshall, who has overseen such acclaimed works as The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart, Jazz Fest: A New Orleans Story and The Beach Boys.
All surviving band members sat for interviews with Marshall, who’s also folding in archival conversations with the late Christine McVie.
Marshall said, “I'm fascinated by how this incredible story of enormous musical achievement came about. Fleetwood Mac somehow managed to merge their often chaotic and almost operatic personal lives into their own tale in real time, which then became legend. This will be a film about the music and the people who created it.”
There’s no release date yet for the still-untitled doc, which will be produced by the Kennedy/Marshall Company and White Horse Pictures.
