The Grammys will air on ABC, Hulu and Disney+ starting in 2027 as part of a 10-year deal between the Recording Academy and Disney. Music's Biggest Night has aired since 1973 on CBS, which will broadcast the next two editions.
Reports value the deal at north of $500m. In 2027 ABC will air not only the Grammys but the Oscars and Super Bowl LXI.
As part of the new arrangement, the Recording Academy will produce several Grammy-branded specials and other programming to air on Disney properties.
“We're thrilled to be bringing the Grammys and other music programming to the Disney ecosystem,” said Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. “We're grateful to our long-standing partners at CBS and now honored to be joining Disney, an iconic company where creators have always been at the forefront. This partnership represents another important milestone in the Academy’s transformation and growth and strengthens our ability to fulfill our mission of uplifting and serving music people around the world.”
Added Disney Entertainment Co-Chairman Dana Walden, “Live events have never been more important to our culture and industry and we just acquired one of the crown jewels, adding to our portfolio of world-class programming across all genres."
The nominations for the 2025 edition of the Grammys will be unveiled live on 11/8; final-round voting will begin 12/12. The ceremony will be held 2/2 at Los Angeles' Crypto.com Arena.
