LIZZO, USHER JOIN HARRIS RALLIES IN BATTLEGROUND STATES

Lizzo addressed the crowd ahead of VP Kamala Harris' appearance at a rally in Detroit on 10/19, while USHER joined the Democratic presidential candidate at a raucous gathering in Atlanta.

With 17 days to go before the general election and early voting well underway, all eyes are on battleground states like Michigan and Georgia.

In her remarks, Lizzo referred to Donald Trump's disparaging recent remarks about the Motor City, noting that if all of America were like Detroit, it would be strong, resilient and innovative. Harris herself, admonishing the crowd to match the historic early-vote totals in Georgia and North Carolina, dropped a Motown reference as she talked about Detroit's prowess in "making records" while urging attendees to mark their ballots in even greater numbers.

At the Atlanta rally, Usher addressed his "ATLiens" and spurred some call-and-response singing. He said he supported Harris because "she has a vision of our country that includes everyone." The star declared, "ATL, we got work to do." The roar that came in response indicated that the faithful are ready to rock in the time remaining before November 5. "I love you all," he said. "But I love Kamala Harris even more. I want her to be the next President of the United States." He added: "Vote early."

There was dancing in the aisles before Harris took the stage, reflecting an ebullience that defied the nail-biter narrative being pushed by legacy media. The candidate thanked "Ursher," saluting the star's performer identity. "Make no mistake," she then said to the crowd. "We will win. And we will win because we understand what's at stake."

Harris has been endorsed by an array of music stars, including Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, Billie Eilish and FINNEAS, Jon Bon Jovi and Joni Mitchell, who recently shouted "fuck Donald Trump" at a Los Angeles concert. She later quipped, "This is an important one. I wish I could vote – I’m Canadian. I’m one of those lousy immigrants.”

Of course, Trump's still got [checks notes] Kid Rock. Have you voted early? Do you have a plan to vote? Time's a-wastin'.
