COLDPLAY BREAKS RECORD WITH 12th BILLION-STREAMER

On 10/16 Coldplay broke the record for the most songs by a group to reach 1b streams on Spotify when the Chris Martin-fronted act's 2002 hit "Clocks" became its 12th to pass the billi mark, joining such top performers as “Yellow,” “A Sky Full of Stars” and “Sparks" in the Spot's Billions Club.

And that's not all! The streamer is uniting with the band and FC Barcelona to release a special El Clásico shirt, merch collection and matchday playlist. The jersey, which will be worn during the 10/26 match in Madrid, features a special Coldplay logo inspired by its 10th #1 album, Moon Music, released 10/5. Coldplay's connection to Barcelona's fans was forged when its "Viva la Vida" became the club's unofficial anthem during the 2008-2009 season. ¡El futbol es vida!
