CALL MY AGENT:
NEIL WARNOCK

HITS presents a brand-new feature on the agents who work behind the scenes to help get your favorite tours up and running. Do they want to deal with us? We're pretty sure that's a no. But ready or not, here comes...

Neil Warnock MBE: Co-Head, U.K. & Head of Global Touring, UTA

A true legend in the touring business, Warnock is one of the most experienced music agents in the world and certainly one of the architects of the modern live business.

A leader in expanding the global footprint of the concert industry to include India and China, among other territories, Warnock currently represents such legendary artists as Dolly Parton, David Gilmour and Deep Purple. Over the years, he's worked with one icon after another, including Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Johnny Cash, Simon & Garfunkel and Michael Jackson.

In January 2019, Warnock was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire in the New Year Honours List for his dedication to music and charity.

And now, three questions:

First concert you ever saw?

The Shadows, in Worthing, U.K., during the summer of 1961.

You’re made czar of the concert industry. What’s the first thing you’d change?

End dynamic ticket pricing.

Name a mistake you’ve made in the biz and how you’ve learned from it.

Made a few, but one in particular was turning down Queen as I had a very full roster and an ego that was out of control. Always listen to what you receive, especially when it comes to you from other industry professionals.

And a bonus fun fact:

AI tells us that Warnock is also known for his work as a football manager, including a stint at Torquay United, where he helped resurrect the club's managerial career.
