LATIN RECORDING ACADEMY HONORS LEADING LADIES

The Latin Recording Academy has named Vivir Quintana, Diana Rodriguez, Ana Rosa Santiago and Julieta Venegas its 2024 Leading Ladies of Entertainment.

Singer-songwriter Quintana was selected for both her music and her work for social causes in Mexico.

Venegas, whom Time called “the Frida Kahlo of rock and roll,” was singled out for a lengthy career that includes eight Latin Grammy wins and a Master of Latin Music honor by the Berklee College of Music.

Rodriguez, CEO and founder of music management/marketing firm Criteria Entertainment and management company/label Mercado Negro, is a pioneer in the industry. In her 32-year career, she has held senior positions at Phillips, Polygram, Universal Music, EMI Music and Capitol Latin and is credited with helping launch the careers of Juanes, Juan Luis Guerra and Francisca Valenzuela.

Santiago, SVP of Latin music for Universal Music Publishing Group in the U.S. and Latin America, spent 18 years at ASCAP. She is a dual member of the Latin Recording Academy and the Recording Academy, serves on the board of She Is the Music and is the assistant VP of events for the Miami chapter of Women in Music.

A private event celebrating this year’s class will take place 11/11 in Miami during Latin Grammy week, with Amazon Music as the presenting sponsor. Baptist Health South Florida and Espolón Tequila will serve as official sponsors.
