HITS presents a brand-new feature on the agents who work behind the scenes to help get your favorite tours up and running. Do they want to deal with us? We're pretty sure that's a no. But ready or not, here comes...
Robby Fraser: Senior Partner, WME
An avid surfer and adequate golfer, Fraser is currently celebrating his 30th year at WME. His roster is loaded with one beloved rock act after another, including Queens of the Stone Age, Arctic Monkeys, Weezer, Kings of Leon, Wallows, Eagles of Death Metal, The Flaming Lips, Pulp, The War on Drugs, Tom Waits and Mr. Bungle/Faith No More.
Fraser has also been kept on his toes by longtime client Jack White, who is as likely to play a surprise club show in a random city nowhere near you as he is to headline an arena tour. The former has been the norm on White's latest trek, which has delighted lucky fans at such venues as the 1,000-capacity Toad's Place in New Haven, Connecticut, and the Lodge Room in Los Angeles, which fits just 500.
And now, two questions:
What was the first concert you ever saw?
Fear at Whisky a Go Go, 1981.
Name a music figure you admire?
Rick Rubin, because he managed to make billions in a T-shirt and flip-flops.
