A group of independent managers have launched a new management company called Collective of Artists and Leaders MGMT (C•O•A•L), with USHER's former co-manager Julia Khan serving as president and Human Re Sources CEO J. Erving acting as Board Chair of Music.
Rounding out the team are Creative Management Firm’s Yvette Medina, FM Group’s Alex Frankel, Chris Maher and Dani Chavez, HowRU? Entertainment’s Ben Eisenberg, Justin Miller and Corey Kastner, Leader Management’s Max Leader and November Yellow’s Jaha Johnson.
The small boutique firm will operate from its L.A. and London offices to support its client roster of recording artists, music producers and writers.
“I am honored to spearhead C•O•A•L and partner with amazing managers who are committed to true artistic talent and go above and beyond for their clients," Khan offered. "It’s a privilege to support the team and their incredible rosters, and I am grateful to Mary Bekhait and YMU for backing us.”
Prior to C•O•A•L, Khan served as head of marketing at Jive/LaFace Records (Sony Music), where she worked on special projects, brand campaigns and global rollouts for A Tribe Called Quest, T-Pain, P!NK and many more. Khan is also an active board member of USHER's New Look charity and a long-term Global Citizen Entertainment Advisory Board Committee member.
As for us, we can barely get out of bed. Pictured wondering when we are finally going to call it quits are (l-r, sitting) Johnson, Khan, Medina and (l-r, standing) Kastner, Miller, Frankel, Leader, Maher and Chavez.
