U.K. MIDWEEKS: SNOW PATROL HEADS FOR #1

With The Forest Is the Path (Polydor), Snow Patrol (pictured) is heading for its first U.K. Official Albums #1 in 18 years. On the singles midweek update, Sabrina Carpenter is still leading the race with “Taste” (Island).

The Forest Is the Path is the first album by Snow Patrol since 2018 and the Gary Lightbody-led band's eighth overall.

London Grammar is close behind at #2 with its fourth set, The Greatest Love (Ministry of Sound). Following the release of its Expanded Mourner’s Edition, Eminem’s The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) (Interscope) is expected to rebound a massive 36 places to #3.

Catfish and the Bottlemen are celebrating 10 years of their Island debut, The Balcony, and its reissue will likely garner its highest position ever, #9. It originally peaked at #10 in 2014.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, “Taste” is heading for a fourth week at #1. “Die With a Smile” (Atlantic/Interscope) by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars is up one to #5, while “Somedays” (Solotoko) by Sonny Fodera, Jazzy and D.O.D climbs two to #8.

The Weeknd’s latest single, “Dancing in the Flames” (Republic), is expected to be the week’s highest new entry, at #9. “It’s ok, I’m ok” (RCA) by Tate McRae is on track to debut at #11.
